La Cachuera S.A. is an Argentine company dedicated to the processing, packaging and commercialization of agricultural food products, with more than 90 years of experience.
Founded by Juan Szychowski, a Polish immigrant who settled in the Colonia de Apóstoles with his family around 1900, the company has grown while remaining deeply connected to its origins, its people and the land where it began.
Today, Amanda combines tradition, experience and technological innovation to produce high-quality yerba mate and rice products for consumers in Argentina and around the world.

Our facilities are located near the city of Apóstoles, in Misiones Province, Argentina.
The region is at the heart of our history and our yerba mate production, and continues to play a fundamental role in our identity.
At Amanda Group’s yerba mate plantations, located on the La Negrita and Santa María properties, protecting the natural balance of the environment is an ongoing priority.
The use of agricultural chemicals is kept to a minimum and, whenever they are necessary, their application is carefully controlled. Organic fertilizers are also frequently used.
Between the rows of yerba mate plants, different types of grasses and oilseed crops are grown and later incorporated into the soil as green manure, helping to maintain soil quality.
Pest control is carried out using low-toxicity insecticides only when necessary. When treatment is required, it is applied exclusively to affected plants whenever possible, reducing its impact on the surrounding area.
Areas that are not suitable for yerba mate cultivation are used to plant eucalyptus, pine and native tree species such as canafístula, lapacho and cedar.
Studies conducted by the National University of Misiones (UNaM) have found a remarkable balance in the microfauna present in Grupo Amanda’s yerba mate plantations.
At the La Negrita property, two protected areas provide a habitat for a variety of animal species, including capybaras, red deer and other native wildlife. Several fish species can also be found in the waterways running through these areas.
